The beginning of a new year is the perfect time to pause and reflect about how we have grown, and for looking forward hope and awareness. For PizzaMi, 2023 has been a year of success and satisfaction. We achieved important results thanks to our team’s joint efforts, our suppliers’ important contribution and our customers’ loyalty and support.

 

2023: A SUCCESSFUL YEAR

2023 was a very successful year of growth for PizzaMi, which saw sales increase by 25%, reaching 3,000,000 pizzas and 70,000kg of bread produced – truly impressive figures for the gluten-free market! But we didn’t stop there: we extended our distribution network to new markets, including the Australian market. Quite the record when you look back to where we started: 4 brothers, a small restaurant, and a vision: bringing the quality of traditional Italian pizzas worldwide… gluten free. And now look at us: we supplied more than 500 distributors, exported our products to 30 countries on four continents and produced more than 250 different pizzas (traditional, organic and cauliflower pizzas), pinsas, breads and focaccias in different sizes, fillings and recipes. We are proud of the results we achieved, and we look forward to continuing on this path.

 


Here’s our numbers

  • We started small. Now we are more than 30! – In 2023 alone, we recruited 3 office and 6 production staff.
  • PizzaMi is a young company with a multi-ethnic workforce: 10 nationalities are represented in our company. Our average age is 32; our youngest employee is only 18!
  • We export to more than 30 countries on 4 continents. Our customer base has grown over the years to include more than 500 distributors.
  • We started with 1 concept. Now we have over 1000, including combination recipes, formats, fillings and packaging!
  • We have achieved the highest level of IFS and BRC quality certification. We are also BIO certified. In addition, our selection of KOSHER ingredients allows us to produce certified products for customers who require it.

WE FOCUS ON BEING MORE “GREEN”

What has never changed, however, is our commitment and passion for our job. Using only the finest ingredients and innovative production processes, PizzaMi has made quality its warhorse. With the aim of reducing the environmental impact of our products, we have followed a sustainable path from the very beginning. How do we do that? By reducing the amount of plastic we use. And by using 100% paper packaging. But our commitment doesn’t stop there: in fact, we are trying to reduce our waste consumption, not only in packaging, but also among our employees, by encouraging them to adopt environmentally friendly behaviour.

WE PRODUCTS WERE LAUNCHED

Ever aware of food market trends, in 2023 PizzaMi launched a new productthe “garlic bread” Pinsa, an idea inspired by the demand for gluten-free garlic bread abroad. Made with a secret blend of naturally gluten-free flours, rich in fibre and nutrients, our garlic bread style Pinsa is easily recognisable by its soft and light texture. Richly seasoned with minced garlic, parsley and butter (a vegan option is also available), it is a unique explosion of taste. Perfect for an aperitif, a starter or a quick meal, it will impress with its originality and bold flavour.

 

WE ARE LOOKING TO THE FUTURE AND FEELING POSITIVE AND EMPOWERED

In 2024 we have plans for growth and expansion, both in terms of production and distribution. Some of the projects we’d like to carry out this year include opening two new warehouses for storing raw materials, which will allow us to triple our dough production, also by introducing new machinery. We are convinced that we are on the right track: that is why we have plans for further investment in research and development of new products, in order to offer our customers the very best of Italian tradition… 100% gluten free, of course.
